This honestly, Ive seen tons of people lose their minds after dosing too much, too often, not in the right setting.
Huxley and leery had it right, the whole situation needs to be controlled. Meaning in a safe comfortable environment where very little has the chance to go wrong or get out of hand. My only suggestion for you is to keep things very simple when tripping, don't over do anything, don't drink alcohol or mix other drugs with it, if you try it and it fails to affect you or seems to persist for more than 24 hours (unless you heroic dose then expect a week or more) don't take it again.

One of my most intense moments was on lsd.
I was in bed, shaking, moving, writhing... It was... uncomfortable. Upon closing my eyes I experienced a kaleidoscope of colors and complex shapes.

Wrong. I've recently used acid to MKUltra myself and holy shit is it effective. I just listen to really motivating audio which normally would feel pointless and pretty cringe but when you're on acid your bias is gone and you accept it as the total truth.

I've done this 4 time so far (once a month) and the difference in my subconscious response to things (being in an embarrassing or stressful scenario) is night and day. Word of caution, you do have to approach any psychedelic with a meditative mindset if that what you want out of it. Don't expect to do it at a party or concert or whatever and it be the same as doing it in a more suitable environment.

Lsd is bad for people with underlying mental issues. Lsd is a powerful drug. You can't be high off lsd for 40 days straight, that's a bullshit story.

I used to smoke weed, haven't in years now. I hardly drink, maybe once a month at most. I take lsd maybe a couple times a year.

Mushrooms are scarier than lsd, at least apparently you're less in control. So an "easier" drug is lsd.

That being said I mainly quit weed because I stopped smoking it as often as before and started smoking it maybe 1 a month or less, but I would still smoke the same amount as when I had tolerance. I was prone to being paranoid, I couldn't stop it, it would just be a feeling a paranoia that would then form the thoughts. I can take a step back and see my thoughts are paranoid so of course I wouldn't stress on those thoughts but it's the feeling that creates it. With only weed the paranoia is not strong enough to really effect me enough to for example run away from a sound or something.

I've taken acid over a dozen times and decided at the end of a 225ug trip to smoke some weed, even tho I haven't smoked in years since then either. The acid immediately became stronger not as strong as the peak but very strong. This lasted for 10 minutes after that the weed paranoia hit me and the acid made it stronger than ever before.

I thought I was going crazy. I had this idea that somehow when you take acid you die but then somehow come back to life and then you have to warn people about it but at the same time you warn them subconsciously. Of course it was nonsense but this time it was so strong I couldn't step back and realize the thoughts are stupid and they're coming from this feeling.
