of course one can say such a thing doesn't exist by stressing how marx's philosophy was an economic one, but tht argument misses the point

Marx believed firmly that people understood the world as laid out to them by powerful individuals and he believed that fundamental change could follow if you merely changed the way they were interpreted

so, an apt description for "cultural marxism" would be any form of culture that disregards reason and objectives standards of beauty and the like for a completely new way of thinking merely for the sake that it is new, or that it is directly juxtaposed to functioning society
