There`s multiple rites within the roman church . Some of which are actually identical to orthodox practice , the groups just stayed connected to rome for whatever reason.

Third thread after this one, look here at the comments and decide for yourself, either is "better" then the other. They are virtually the same only Orthodoxy is more Eastern Europe and Catholicism is more Irish, Mediterranean, certain Nordic nations.
