I thought there never was an impeachement of a presidentin the states?

Nixon wasn't impeached. Only two presidents have: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.

Also, Andrew Johnson didn't do anything wrong. He just didn't want to steal land from southern white land owners and give it to blacks. But the radical republicans did so they tried to get rid of him.
