So, by the time that the USA and Russia go to war, your looking at a nuclear wasteland in Japan and Korea; the British Isles being very poor now, and pretty broken; possible suppression of the Falklands by Argentina; Italy and other southern European countries being overrun by far too many migrants (much more than now), therefore making the countries vote more liberally; the destruction of the American right wing (to a large extent).

Basically, a nuclear war between the US and Russia would be welcomed by that point.
