Surprise - I was in Poland in 1995, 2002-2006 and 2016. I know it's easy to think that everyone outside of Poland is merely throwing shit at you, but believe me, I'm not one of those people.

Yes, it's gotten A LOT better relative to how it was. But if you compare it to something like the UK, it's still getting off the ground. If you look at things like the Ease of Doing Business Index, Poland is still really lagging. Poland is simply not a good place to invest any money in.

Look at events like "likwidacja otwartych funduszy emerytalnych" or the governments role in the swiss frank loan thing.

While there seems to have been a lot of grass roots changes, especially when it comes to young people and culture, it feels like things in law, government, and finance haven't changed much since 1995. If you look at the sejm roster, you'll notice that most people there have been there since 1991. And if you look closer, some of the older ones have been there since before 1991 (ie. pzpr people).

It's not just a question of a small budget, it's a question of ridding yourself of the communist parasites, of which there are still tens of thousands.
