it was happening before memes, people were turning corny-ness on its head, and feeling like they can make any joke under the sun because people have heard it long enough. our society has been shucking and jiving for longer than you think, but you do have a point, now we have memes built on memes, the scaffolding is miles high. we are very much an ahumane society already with the amount of things we don't know we should understand. It is i kinda like tzarist russia going communist for several generations, the threads to the past are shriveled and tangled to a self sufficient existence.
