These. Honestly the United States NEEDS to split. Every single president/government with one exception (based calvin) has made the government bigger and more authoritarian and over time shat on the constitution. If there's just ONE amendment to the constitution that needs to be upheld more than ever, it's the 10th. I love the 2nd amendment, but even that can get in line. The 10th amendment has been abused more than any other, it's what's allowed the country with the third largest population to retain its status as one of the freest nations on earth - as we all know, authoritarianism is proportional to population. But every year we lose that freedom. At this point, with the exception of Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, no one in the federal government seems to give a shit. Therefore, the USA must split. If we don't I fear we'll end up like Europe.

Split, re-establish state sovereignty, then reform after 10 years once each state has sorted itself out. Strengthen and modernise the language of the constitution, introduce BBA, an "income tax is illegal" amendment and prevent the establishment of a central bank by constitutional provision. Limit the role of the federal government to dealing with military, representation abroad, immigration, international trade, and some agencies like NASA.
