You must be joking. The UNHCF has data on this. The amount sent back is minute. Even among people confirmed to have no asylum claims.

First of all we don't have the facilities to hold them. We need wards set up to hold thousands, they don't exist. Secondly these are not (and cannot legally be) prisons. Meaning people just walk out of them. Thirdly we don't have enough cops to enforce this and hunt them down even if we wanted to. Fourth, sending them back requires specially chartered planes to the tune of millions for one or a dozen people.

This is WHY people said to check them BEFORE letting them in. But that was racist and nazi. For about half a year, then the major parties all switched tactics and pretended they never said it would be impossible to shut down the borders.
