I remember this question was asked in my English class, everyone was like "no of course I would fight against them", but I said I couldn't answer that because the answer isn't simple since the information you would have at the time, your economic situation, the larger feeling of the population and the power of radio at the time, even fear would effect your opinion immensely. You can't just google what is going to happen after a few years and everything about your mindset in that time is completely different. So maybe a lot of people in that class would have if they were alive back then and given the opportunity to.
