Firstly, the EU is an American creation. America is not "anti-EU". Without America, there would be no EU. It would either be the Third Reich or the USSR. Period.

Secondly, there is no possible way that Europe can rival the USA. The only thing that Europeans agree on is that working hard is for suckers and they need more refugees ASAP. That's not a model for success in this century or any other.

The EU isn't about empowering Europe, it's about concentrating wealth and influence in the hands of a few Eurocrats. When the blueprint for the European Union was proposed it was put forward as a trade deal ONLY and slowly showed its true self to be a political union. Those millennials that took to social media the day after the Brexit vote to cry and bitch and shriek and whimper about mean old vets and elderly people stealing their future forget there was a time in those people's lives where they likely voted to enter the EU, and regretted it. They were making things right again.

Americans don't know anything about the EU. They want to sit quietly and not rock the boat.
.gov will murder your children, and USA will vote them back in, again.

The problem with the EU is that they continue to push normative policies regarding socialism and human rights in a holier-than-thou capacity, while refusing to acknowledge they're system is propped up entirely by the US and NATO. They want to play political equals on the supranational EU level, but still depend on the US for protection, and while forgetting that there wouldn't be a functional EU without the US monetary support since WW2. Now that the EU has gotten a little recognition, they've chosen to use it to bite the hand that has fed them for 70 years. They seek to displace US influence, broker deals with hostile nations, tax US imports, all the while claiming they're moral superiority because they provide social benefits, which they can only afford because they're spending jack shit on defense (at both the EU and state level).

After WW2, the agreement was that Europe would get the socialist state they wanted, in exchange for the US getting to field a large army. That is how we got where we are today, with Western Europe not creating a sizeble army since 1945. As a result of this the EU doesn't have to pay for its own defense, but instead chooses butter over guns and funds endless social programs. If they had to pay for their own defense the EU would collapse, which is why they dislike President Trump so much. The EU is costing us a lot of money and is at the forefront of artificial aggression against Russia and the importation of worthless third world Muslims who will never assimilate into the society.
