>get a call from childhood friend
>chatting about new stuff going on
>"dude Trump is going to start World War 3"
>"he's totally fucking over the environment dude, people are saying he's similar to a dictator"
>"haha dude I can't believe Trump's son just told everybody they colluded with Russia!"
>Well that's not tru-
>"OK ANON GOTTA GO BYE

Every fucking time I talk to an old friend. Why are normies like this?
>>
>>133456956
Because they don't have a platform to know the real news.
>>
>>133457057
How do people not suspect that it's all bullshit and look for some other sources?

Shit is unbelievable.
>>
>>133457494
Most people dont care about politics thus the state of the society we are living in, and just give a quick peek at the tv or newspaper and take it as fact.
>>
>>133457977
Interesting

Bump
>>
> implying we are any better
Half of these faggots here are from r/The_Donald . This board doesn't argue or allow multiple opinions. It's a echo chamber like what your friend is listening too, just for the opposite side.
>>
>>133460208
Even today we saw it with Trump Jr.
At first it was
>sources say
FAKE NEWS LIBERALS

and now DJT Jr. posted on his twitter that he took the meeting after lying about it and 'amending' it three times.
No issue is brought up.

Not even for the fact he took the meeting on for research on behalf of the Russian government, who also said they supported his father. Still fake news though.

i just have people from my high school (graduated 8 years ago) posting shit all fucking day on facebook about Trump. Granted, I'm doing the same, but shit at least on here we're having a conversation and coming up with semi-unique ideas. On facebook, its litterally just reposting from occupydemocrats, or "now this". It's nauseating to see like 5 people post the exact same shit, not even a fucking comment on it, they just share it and let it float out into the ether.
>>
>>133460208
honestly, there would have been the ability for wider range of discussion on here if it wasn't for the shills. It's trained us to tell anyone else that sounds like a shill to shut the fuck up. I know it's an echo chamber in here, but at least you won't get banned for the wrong opinion, just yelled at
>>

This ^
One America News is, literally, the only tv network reporting real news and most people aren't aware of it.
The local & network evening crap which many people rely on for "news" is probably the only shit more pathetic than cnn, fox, msnbc are. They can't even get the facts straight on local incidents in their own cities half the time.

Because the MSM ran a 24/7 non stop smearing campaign in the last two years.
You have no idea how many people hate Trump here just because every single american piece of news is brought by leftist correspondents.
>>
>>133460984
"Originally launched with the intention of targeting a conservative and center-right audience,[4][5] OAN states a goal of delivering objective news coverage throughout the day while its prime time political talk shows illustrate a conservative view.[6]"

you have to get more and more articles on a single subject to get any "objective" real news dude

this whole country runs on making money off of people like you.

/pol/ really believes Hillary would have started WW3
>>
>>133460834
Yelled at and completely dismissed to the point where it's not even worth typing anything other than calling someone a faggot.

I honestly don't believe the whole shill shit is as big as everyone seems to believe. i always saw it as lurkers who had opposing politics who took a chance to rub it in when something huge happens, like in the debates.

>family dinner
>someone brings up politics
>always end up bashing trump

I don't even link Trump, but the constant bullshit of fake news brainwashing everone really gets to me. Especially when I see people just eating it up completely uncritically.
>>
>having friends
>having friends during your childhood

fuck off normalfag
>>
>>133460722
I have a big handful of people I know who do that on my facebook as well. They just re-share and re-post articles, rants, and YouTube videos. Pretty much nobody interacts with any of this content.

I stopped posting pro-Trump stuff a few weeks after the innaguration. Seemed like most normies wanted to move past it
>>
>>133461278

Since you've, obviously, never tuned in during the day, you wouldn't know that they just report news - sans speculation & opinion.

People like me? I'm talking about people who rely on TV for news (as in OP), which I do not.
Highly doubt that people who depend on tv (and facebook) spend time on /pol/ - let alone, know about it -- unless they're being paid to troll.
>>
>>133461288
You have to actually care about something for a war to start.

Hillary would have just set up a bunch of funky money funneling systems with each country and then set up a bunch of meme-tier progressive government programs to appease her voter base
>>
>>133461557
A lot of people were normies during their younger years. I was the class president and the king of normies. I changed during middle school and became an isolated cynical piece of shit.
>>
>>133456956
American people dont really have the concept what dictatorship look like. You retard burgers of /pol/, you thinks Obama was a socialist BTW.
>>
>>133461769
I was a socially retarded weeb from 1-13 years old

14 I went through puberty and started getting bitches, then became a liberal hipster before liberal hipsters were a thing. From 14-20 I was a normie approved "alternative" type of faggot

Then around 21 I became a weirdo again, started surfing /pol/ and I am no longer normie-approved.
>>
>>133461949
I see Obama as a leader who LARPed as a socialist in a capitalist democracy. He tried to do as much socialist-ish shit as this environment would let him.

I agree, Americans know nothing about a dictatorship (neither do I except what I've read about it). In a way, Obama had been somewhat oppressive because of his interference with the free-market, which really fucked over the livlihood of many average people.

At least in a socialist economy, much of your financial issues are somewhat taken care of. In America, all you have are your own opportunities, and if that is effected by a socialist LARPer wanna-be, then that is quite shitty.

The economy has already improved under Trump, I am seeing tons of new jobs when I look.
>>
>>133462346
He had social democratic tendencies at best. The other thing is there are sectors that works way better in a state(national level I mean) company system and there are sectors that works better in the capitalistic way.
>>
>>133456956
they don't actually fucking care at all, they just believe for some reason that everyone agrees with the political opinion of the MSM and that it thus would make a good small talk topic.

that's why they always bail the moment you disagree
>>
>>133456956
I don't know ask /pol/
>>
>>133464220
This makes sense

Good observation

I should probably stop disagreeing with political narratives IRL because absolutely nobody gives a shit and it only damages my social capital
>>
>>133461336
lefty lurker here from /tg/, can confirm.
I show up when I think it could be interesting, today it's because I wanted to see how /pol/ feels about the removal of net neutrality.
Specifically since it stands to potentially censor or limit places like 4chan but is endorsed by Trump.
>>
>>133464991
I fucking knew it

The shill paranoia was retarded. There is no way there are "hired shills" in this shit hole.
