Dan does a great job of providing lots of context and depth to the historical subjects he covers in Hardcore History. It's a solid choice for listening to on a long commute or if you are on a flight. It is A+ material compared to the rest of the shit floating around in the podcast world.

As for Common Sense, Dan has been crying for an outsider candidate to make big waves and rattle the whole system for a long time now. Trump is exactly the type of person he has been saying he wants in office for a long time, but for some reason Dan just started backpedaling hard when the outsider turned out to be Trump.

IDK, it's like Trump fried Dan's brain. He's just so used to bitching about the status quo that he doesn't know what the fuck to say now that things are actually being shaken up.

if anyone listened to his CS show the past 10 years, one common thread he had was his paranoia of new age McCarthyism in the Internet era. His main concern was how ANYONE could call you a child molester / child porn and immediately have the police investigating you.

This. My favorites were King of Kings, Blueprint for Armageddon and Prophets of Doom.

Introduced me to things I thought I'd never give that much of a shit about and has convinced me to steal some good history books and get edjumactated proper. Hardcore History is a great narrative centered way to introduce people to periods of history that they would'nt've given much though to previously.

I'm completely unfamiliar with anything he does or says other than HH and judging by this thread maybe that's for the best.
