Educate yourself classcuck. Countries like Venezuela where the social systems like education and healthcare are dependent on the capitalist side of the economy. If the free markets falter, then the social aspects suffer. In Venezuela's case, it was being sanctioned and most of the economy was dependent on oil. Capitalism is a vulnerable system in countries with a main commodity because if something happens that crashes the countries profits from oil, the rest of the country collapses. Basically the US exploited the fact that Venezuela has a capitalist foundation and used that fact to collapse the country just because they aren't aligned with the US.

Don't. They voted for this. The cheered Chavez on and voted for this. They applauded as he gave out Gibs and nationalized shit. They voted for him again as he pushed his socialism hard and fast. They loved every moment of it. Now that end game socialism has begun, now that the great government they entrusted with so much power, the power to give them all they ever wanted has turned into the power to take it all away. Now they cry about rigged elections. Now they cry about their collapsing currency. Now they cry not because they are reliant upon government for food but rather the government has no food for them. These people have dug their grave and now must lie in it. This is end game socialism/communism. When they end up like Cuba and have men selling their 10yr old daughters to foreigners to make a quick $ they will maybe begin to question whether the gibs they voted for was worth it. Or maybe not.

Also that the opposition party in the country is just a different flavor of socialism shows just how beyond redemption these people are. That in a time where people are diving into dumpsters for food, people die in hospitals of infections treatable for the last 50yrs with ease and yet the opposition cannot attempt to put toward a method of government radically different to the one that has got them into that mess is a damning indictment of the average Venezuelan citizen. That a single party espousing free markets and liberty hasn't come forth from this ruin shows the nation is doomed to cycle between varying levels of failure of socialism forever.

I could see it working on a planet colony like mars or something, where cooperation is required for survival, but baring that I just dont see it working. Even in that case it will fall apart as soon as close cooperation is no longer needed for survival.

I also feel that communism stifles human innovation. In your vision you laid out, you have humanity going back to merely surviving by growing crops. How the hell is the man plowing crops supposed to get protien in his diet without trading some of his wheat for beef? I work full time and freelance as a mechanic on the weekends. I need the freelance work like a hole in the head but its allowed me to grow my savings faster for a house (im 23).

I had to pay 10 FUCKING GRAND in taxes last year.I would be fine with this as in return for my taxes I get roads and protection from foreign governments, but a retard I went to highschool with that popped out 5 kids and never had a job or paid taxes ever got a $10,000 gibesmedat check from the gubment.

The current system in the united states is about as close to a communist utopia as its going to get, which is kinda hilarious.
