Net Neutrality

net neutrality literally didn't exist a year ago. It was passed without anyone stopping it or even bringing it up a year ago. If it were removed right now, absolutely nothing would change. There's likely more that's in the net neutrality clause that could be exploited to harm us than help us. But i'm not gonna sit and read through the entire bill because I just don't give enough of a shit, I did that with SOPA, and PIPA, and the other like 5 over the last 10 years. I don't think there's really anything to be concerned about. "net neutrality" didn't need a bill, and didn't need to be defended a year ago, why now?

Net neutrality wasn't 'passed' a year ago. There are decades of legal precedent regarding the FCC requiring ISP to maintain the same quality and level of service to all traffic. They should not be allowed to discriminate by protocol or address.

Without net neutrality as a standard, these ISP are able to tell you what, when, and how you may view the internet. Being on 4chan of all places, if you don't see how important that is you're either dumb or trolling.

Title II has been working quite well for quite some time. Past behavior and set precendent has ensured that Net Neutrality was always the agreed upon method of a free and unlimited data stream. It is only now that corporations are thinking that they can game the system and create preferred bandwidth allocation streams and practices of trottling.
