I'm not sure what the exact catalyst will be for the crash but there are plenty of factors out there including the very fact that stocks and real estate are massively overvalued right now. Nearly all the economic data, aside from employment numbers which are fake anyway, are rolling over signalling that a recession is imminent right now - both in the US and the UK as well as many other developed nations. That's the point where I'm not into conspiracy stuff, at least not in the regular meaning.
My opinion is that the collapse was forseeable, unavoidable and forseen since decades, perhaps since WW1 or the interwar period. Since then, the elites are divided between two tendencies : the short-termists are trying to postpone the collapse beyond their lifetimes, while the long-termists are preparing a collapse that would suits them. I think this hypothesis explains a lot more than the monolithic conspiracy stuff.
