Hey pol. I voted brexit and ever since ive been getting shit from friends and family. The only ones i care about are my aunt and uncle, who have helped me thru a lot of shit.

This morning i got this message from them
"At the risk of being a bit heavy for a Wesnesday morning a interesting argument? From a man I do not always agree with by an means-

Fintan O'Toole:
When it came into being, the case for the EU could be explained to every citizen in a single, comprehensible sentence: “The union exists because we must never go to war with each other again.”

Now it has to be able to express its reason for being in a similarly compelling sentence: “The union exists because citizens in a globalised economy need a transnational power to protect them from a feral capitalism that would destroy their environment, their social services, their rights as workers and their belief that their children can have better lives than they do.”

How do i argue this without resorting to "yes goyim.. Sell us your sovereignty *rubs hands*, or calling them worthless faggots?

Tldr cant have discussions with normies anymore, can only speak /pol/ish these days. What do when redpilling faggots?

The EU didn't invent environmental policy, public or social services, workers rights or public and personal aspiration. We had them before we joined.
It isn't the only place in the world, or even in Europe, to have such things. It doesn't do most of those things particularly well.
International trade and companies are enabled in their globalism by the EU. See international trade and company support for the EU. (or name one fucking example of a multi-national that doesn't open support the EU?).
Ignoring all of the above, "transnational power" doesn't have to read "EU" any more than "UK government" absolutely has to be read as "Labour or Tory".
>>
>>133222493
Use >current year against them, believe me it works
>It's the current year, wars are no longer profitable as they once were since we are globally interconnected too much, a war would harm big banks, big companies and coorporations, as well as well established democracies. There won't be a new war unless something drastically changes, and if it does, the EU won't be able to do shit regardless, so why sell our sovereignty for no reason at all?

Just post them some Daily Express articles. Thats what I do

fintan o toole is one of the most globalist members of the irish press, and is one of the chief reasons the banks werent regulated after the financial crash.

FUCKING FINTAN O'TOOLE IS AT IT AGAIN
Europe can't go to war anyway because everyone has nukes. The idea that the EU somehow guarantees peace and it has nothing to do with the superweapons pointing all over the place is just stunningly arrogant and grotesque.

Secondly, no, Britain does not need a transnational power to protect it from jack shit. Ireland (where Fintan is from) arguably does but that's mainly because Ireland still hasn't actually come to terms with the fact that it's an independent country. If Britain wants to protect itself from some sort of feral capitalism it can do it in its own parliament.
It is the EU that hamstrings the parliament and allows capitalists to import millions of unskilled labourers to cut the "working class," insofar as such a thing even exists, off at the knees.

But more importantly, capitalism, contrary to Noam Chomsky's claims, is fundamentally immediately accountable. If a company is not giving you what you want, you stop buying their shit. If the EU isn't giving you what you want, you're shit outta luck m8. You have no way to remove the European Commission. You have no way to influence the Council of Ministers. This is an institution with staggering administrative power over you and you have no power over it. To it you are little more than an economic production unit, essentially interchangeable with units from all over the world. Your interests are secondary to the institution's quasi-Marxist utopian dreams and can be sacrificed to the same. And now the institution wants an army.

We should all leave. And then perhaps consider charges of treason.

I tend to go the other way, eg civil wars tend to be the bloodiest and the most drawn-out types of wars, a Euro wide civil war would be horrific, and is only possible if Europe is one country.
But of course that couldn't happen. Because diversity or something.

Europe must be united so it can go to war with China. For the chews.

The problem is that Remain voters are, to a man, fanatics. It's not just "like" arguing with a zealot, it is arguing with a zealot. They are all total and dedicated supporters of the EU. Even the ones who come out with things like "the EU needs reform from within" and "it's changed from what it should be about" just view the answer as more Europe. The Eurosceptics are a broad church, even in the UK. Marxists, Fascists, old Socialists, northern conservatives, loyalists, Jews, nationalists, small business owners, large business owners. The fans of the EU fall into a much narrower camp. That alone should set alarm bells ringing.

Basically there's about as much sense in arguing with them as there is an ISIS supporter, or one of those people who thinks if they drink bleach as a meteor comes past earth they'll go to heaven. It's a cult. Avoid them, and the less time you spend with them the better.

did someone mention "brilliant fucking post" or nah?

A nation which strives to cut the strings of usury, to become truly financially independent, to *NOT* be born into debt, to live a life of indentured servitude and debt slavery, to become a nation unbeholden to a handful of people wielding Godlike powers... are evil incarnate.

But a European Union which acts as nothing more than a financial bloc to further enrich the already insanely wealthy, moving more power and control into fewer hands, is a great idea which everyone should support.
>>
>>133225594
There's no point in sending them anything. They won't read it, because they know what position it comes from.

If you want to know what makes these people tick, Aum Shinrikyo and Jonestown, Guyana should be on your reading list - or maybe the Koran. Anything else dodges the elephant in the room. It's a doomsday cult.
>>
>>133225982
We think we all speak the same language, but we often understand words, particularly labels, differently. "Euro-sceptic" is a meaningless phrase and subversive nonsense, but was used as an arguement winning slur for decades.
>>
“The union exists because citizens in a globalised economy need a transnational power to protect them from a feral capitalism that would destroy their environment, their social services, their rights as workers and their belief that their children can have better lives than they do.” this is true. Also it's there for Germany to cuck us. EU would be pretty nice for us without the Germans.
>>
>>133228280
>cat's would be pretty nice if they were dogs
Even if the first line were true, it's not necessarily (or even vaguely) an arguement in favour of the EU. How does America cope for example?
>>
>>133222493
Countries manage to not go to war without being in a shitty bankermade union all the time.
