http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-07-09/comey-bombshell-fbi-directors-leaked-trump-memos-contained-classified-information

“So you didn’t consider your memo or your sense of that conversation to be a government document?,” Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) asked Comey on June 8. “You considered it to be, somehow, your own personal document that you could share to the media as you wanted through a friend?”

“Correct,” Comey answered. “I understood this to be my recollection recorded of my conversation with the president. As a private citizen, I thought it important to get it out.”

>posting in a shareblue divide and conquer thread

Character assassination is when you try to make a person irrelevant because you destroyed the perception of their personality. You try to make it so nobody likes them anymore, so nobody listens to them anymore. You do it when you see that person as a threat.

You can spot it when there's clear spam about a certain person, and asking who benefits from that spam. e.g. /pol/ doesn't benefit from abandoning Lauren Southern. She is starting thousands of normies down the redpill path.

Shareblue/antifa does benefit. This is a shareblue character assassination attempt, using stuff they think will get /pol/ to hate her. Lying about her being jewish is one way. Calling her a slut/racemixer is another. Calling her a coward or weakling is another. etc. etc.

It's to shareblue's benefit if every alt-light and alt-right personality gets entirely discredited so /pol/ no longer has any big voices on their side, and normies stop getting redpilled, which is why they do it.

You cunts are here to try to neutralize /pol/ and the other places you brigade before the 2018 and 2020 elections with your retarded divide and conquer tactics.

All that means is that nationalism is going mainstream, something that should be encouraged at all levels, and it also means you commie pieces of shit are losing bigger than shit.

Die in a fire.

There isn't a time limit on that. Shit was properly returned to people with the appropriate clearances.

p27 of the dossier:
>Two knowledgeable St Petersburg sources claim Republican candidate TRUMP has paid bribes and engaged in sexual activities there but key witnesses silenced and evidence hard to obtain
>Both believe Azeri business associate of TRUMP, Araz AGALAROV will know the details

From the article:
>Mr. Goldstone represents Russian pop star Emin Agalarov, whose father was President Trump’s business partner in bringing the Miss Universe pageant to Moscow in 2013.
>In an interview Monday, Mr. Goldstone said he was asked by Mr. Agalarov to set up the meeting with Donald Trump Jr. and the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya.

From the annotations in the annotated dossier:
>Aras Agalarov is an Azerbaijani businessman and real estate developer. He, along with his son, persuaded Trump to hold the 2013 Miss Universe pageant at one of their properties in Moscow, for which Trump traveled to the city.
>Agalarov was also involved in plans to construct a Trump Tower in Russia, which ultimately fell through.

It's plainly illegal for a foreign government to spend money trying to influence a US election. The email indicated that Russia did indeed spend money to influence the election. If you don't destroy all tendrils of rot, it will reform more powerful than it ever was.

That should've been made clear by now.
>>
Basically here's where this logic falls apart. If you are going to say opposition research is a thing of monetary value, because people sometimes pay for it, then you can argue literally anything is a thing of monetary value. For example, since people pay for voice acting that would mean that speach itself could be a thing of monetary value and you could be prosecuted simply for talking with a foreigner. It's an utter nonsense argument. This law is clearly referring to things with clear market value, such as gold or jewelry or perhaps a nice car.
>>
>>133186314
The purpose of the law is to prevent campaigns from receiving valuables so they can turn said valuables into money so they can turn said money into goods and services that would benefit the campaign which cost money.

Directly providing the goods or services that benefit the campaign would violate the letter AND the spirit of the law.

If the Russians had a bunch of Vote for Trump buttons made for the campaign you wouldn't be claiming that shit doesn't apply. Oppo research is something campaigns pay for. This shit is a clear violation of the law.

HERE is the REAL truth /pol/

Russia DID help Trump win the presidential election by using online 'trolls' as well as disseminating harmful information about the DNC through the Email leak. Trump realized what was going on and was careful not to piss off the Russians with his rhetoric, but he never actually colluded directly with them.

Pizza gate is real, but it is mostly rich guys fucking 15 16 and 17 year old sex workers. These are the women they use to get blackmail on people. Younger girls are also trafficked, but their abuse is more limited in the upper echelons of society than /pol/ would presume.

The law doesn't require a specific monetary value. It only requires that monetary value exists.

Simply bring in a professional opposition researcher and ask them how much they're paid for opposition research in a given election cycle. Hell if anyone from the Trump campaign was stupid enough to take the stand, ask them how much they paid out for research.

52 U.S. Code § 30121 - Contributions and donations by foreign nationals
US Code
Notes
prev | next
§30121.
Contributions and donations by foreign nationals
(a) ProhibitionIt shall be unlawful for—
(1) a foreign national, directly or indirectly, to make—
(A)
a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election;
(B)
a contribution or donation to a committee of a political party; or
(C)
an expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement for an electioneering communication (within the meaning of section 30104(f)(3) of this title); or
(2)
a person to solicit, accept, or receive a contribution or donation described in subparagraph (A) or (B) of paragraph (1) from a foreign national.
(b) “Foreign national” definedAs used in this section, the term “foreign national” means—
(1)
a foreign principal, as such term is defined by section 611(b) of title 22, except that the term “foreign national” shall not include any individual who is a citizen of the United States; or
(2)
an individual who is not a citizen of the United States or a national of the United States (as defined in section 1101(a)(22) of title 8) and who is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence, as defined by section 1101(a)(20) of title 8.
(Pub. L. 92–225, title III, §319, formerly §324, as added Pub. L. 94–283, title I, §112(2), May 11, 1976, 90 Stat. 493; renumbered §319, Pub. L. 96–187, title I, §105(5), Jan. 8, 1980, 93 Stat. 1354; amended Pub. L. 107–155, title III, §§303, 317, Mar. 27, 2002, 116 Stat. 96, 109.)
>>
>>133186922
>Go ahead and prove them wrong.
Well if it's a private citizen of Russia it's still illegal. Doesn't have to be a foreign government, just a foreigner.

Between the accent, the name, and the email where Don Jr. was directly told he would be dealing with a foreigner working for the Kremlin, I think that shouldn't be too difficult to prove.

WTF dudes you're not even trying. If I'm a scam artist and I send an email to someone making some wild claim, that doesn't mean the person I send the email to is legally implicated in "knowing" this "link" that I am claiming as part of my scam that has no substance to it in the first place.

We're at levels of self-deception and abstraction that shouldn't even exist
>>
>>133187237
Your first paragraph and second totally conflict. Like you said, the point of this law is to stop foreigners from funding American political campaigns. There's no way Trump was going to sell this opposition research, who the fuck would he sell it to, himself?

The law is not intended to prevent foreigners from helping American political campaigns, but funding them. For example, Trump received help from Mexico during his campaign, because they invited him to speak there which made him look good. Did Trump violate the law by receiving this help? No because that would be ridiculous. To give another example, Nigel Farage helped Trump during his campaign by speaking at his rallies. This was a foreign national directly helping Trump's campaign. Did this violate the law? No, why would it?

Russia can help Trump's campaign all they want, there's nothing actually illegal about that. In fact to give a third example, a group of Australians came to help Bernie Sanders campaign speak door to door. Did this violate the law? No it did not.

You may consider it morally wrong for Trump to receive non-monetary assistance from Russia but it is not illegal nor should it be.

Depends on whether or not the having of sex related to the campaign.

And even then I don't think so since prostitution laws get weird on whether or not sex can be considered to have value because it's illegal to sell in the first place.

The Russian told Don Jr. she wanted to meet to discus her info she has on Clinton. She DID NOT say that she wanted to give the info to Don Jr, nor did Don Jr solicit donations of information. Face it, there is no crime here unless you can prove Don asked for a donation of the information, or the Russian implied it would be a gift.

This is both non-criminal and is not immoral. I doubt many Americans would have had any issue with a presidential campaign taking a donation of information about criminal action of an opposing campaign. In fact I would argue it is your civic duty to expose a criminal before they become the president if you have the means.

(iii) Be aware of facts that would lead a reasonable person to inquire whether the source of the funds solicited, accepted or received is a foreign national, but the person failed to conduct a reasonable inquiry.

Before arranging a meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer he believed would offer him compromising information about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. was informed in an email that the material was part of a Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy, according to three people with knowledge of the email.

The email to the younger Mr. Trump was sent by Rob Goldstone, a publicist and former British tabloid reporter who helped broker the June 2016 meeting. In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Trump acknowledged that he was interested in receiving damaging information about Mrs. Clinton, but gave no indication that he thought the lawyer might have been a Kremlin proxy.

Mr. Goldstone’s message, as described to The New York Times by the three people, indicates that the Russian government was the source of the potentially damaging information. It does not elaborate on the wider effort by Moscow to help the Trump campaign. There is no evidence to suggest that the promised damaging information was related to Russian government computer hacking that led to the release of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails.

This is probably the first time in about twelve years I haven't been annoyed with a post that doesn't seem to take a clear stance on either side. Bravo.
But the left will be the humiliated ones... Again. And again. And again. Count on it.

So party C has information about party A and wants to inform party B. Let's say really bad and damaging information. In what scenario do these dolts imagine it matters at all if party B listens? This is literally nothing.
>Oh noes! He listened to slanderous lies about my sweet Hill-dawg!
Who fucking cares? It isn't illegal or even unethical no matter who provides the info.

You ever work for the gov't? Or company that does gov't contracts?
Not legal at all to keep that mat'l. Even when fired, you sign documentation that ALL materials have been turned in...keys/phones/thumbdrives/etc.

Did you not read the article? Tick tock.

Lol Goldstone actually checked in on FB on the same day as the meeting he set up in the email. HAHAHHAHA

And all material WAS turned in.

Within the month even. Dude was in fucking California when he was fired and immediately went on vacation after he got back. He made really good time for a fucking civil servant.

>1. I'm American

Nope.

>2. This has nothing to do with impacting an election

How can you determine that? How do you know he doesn't just want damaging information on Hillary Clinton because she's a shady bitch?

>3. My words have no value to you as it relates to an election

How can you determine that? Your logic jumps are a revealing look into their thought processes.

>4. You obviously didn't solicit my opinion

The fact I'm responding back and forth with you, shows that I did.

>5. You're retarded

Thanks

>It was more than implied and Don already admitted to it.
Wrong. Don admitted he went to the meeting because he was interested in what the women had to say about the Clinton's. He never implied he was looking to be given the info without paying; the women never implied she was willing to donate the information for free.

I see right through that meme flag Mr Goldstein.

It's always fun seeing the deep-sponsored buzzwords and talking points disseminated in real time... It was the literal chimpanzee that announced the "kid gloves" one right? What's her name? Maxine "who gave this nigger a job" Watersmelon?
It's gonna be like November 8 2016 all over again every time someone from the DNC goes to prison

Well I guess since you clearly believe I'm not, that part of the law would apply regardless of facts.

I've never been paid for my words on any matter

It does?

>A solicitation is an oral or written communication that, construed as reasonably understood in the context in which it is made, contains a clear message asking, requesting, or recommending that another person make a contribution, donation, transfer of funds, or otherwise provide anything of value

I'm not a leftist you fucking retard. You can't argue facts: the tick-tock psycho tried to say it was proven that Trump campaign was set up like this previously and linked an article about people paying for information gathering

Trump's going to jail once Dems get control of Congress and Hillary is no longer under FBI investigation.

These situations would be reversed had she "won"

OK I don't think it matters if there was collusion. I also don't believe that it changes peoples votes. So answer me this yee Drumpf is finished liberals. What was the piece of information that came from the hacked emails that swayed the election? Please state the precise info that was released about Hillary that changed the course of history.

So where was the solicitation again?

When she e-mailed him? Or when he sat there and listened, trading nothing?

Yeah, well DNC knew from the get go that wasn't going to happen.
So, Brock publicly offering a reward for damaging Trump info..how would that have worked if a foreigner sold some info?
And DNC did purchase info from foreigner to ensure their 'pied piper' candidate got the GOP nom.
>>
>>133191450
But the IC circulated the dossier knowing it was compiled by a foreigner. That's a lot of accomplices to the initial crime.
