It's a small minority of well connected establishment republicans that want him out, and they don't even want that very much since he hasn't gone hard on purging yet and he hasn't threatened their corrupt deals yet. They believe they can control him. It's not like they even have an agenda beyond self-aggrandizement.

Trump will weather this storm, don't worry.

He played up past "nothingburgers" like the Comey memo to the same extent.

I don't know if Drudge JUST wants the clicks or if he himself is rick rolled by this stuff. I think it's actually the latter. I think Drudge loves Trump but lives in a constant state of fear so he's always buying in big to the scandals.

I love you fags but I swear most of you still can't see more than two steps in front of yourselves. Trump's people leaked the meeting scoop to set the stage for what is to come. All the outrage and liberal butthurt over this meeting is exactly what we want. The whole country will demand to know what information was shared. And when they do, it will be the end of the democratic party as you know it. You haven't heard a peep of outrage from Hillary and company. Podesta, silent. Fake Tears Chuck, silent. Blabbermouth Schultz, silent. Pelosi, silent. It's because they know what the world is about to know, and every shitlib talking head on tv is about to walk them right into it. The more attention this gets, the better. Stay tuned, /pol/. This has been in the works for a long time.

Nope.
Here's the Russian national press service version

Donald Trump Jr. later confirmed to New York Times that the meeting had taken place at the Trump Tower. According to him, the parties "discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government." He added that he "was asked to attend the meeting by an acquaintance, but was not told the name of the person I would be meeting with beforehand."

>posting in a shareblue divide and conquer thread

Character assassination is when you try to make a person irrelevant because you destroyed the perception of their personality. You try to make it so nobody likes them anymore, so nobody listens to them anymore. You do it when you see that person as a threat.

You can spot it when there's clear spam about a certain person, and asking who benefits from that spam. e.g. /pol/ doesn't benefit from abandoning Lauren Southern. She is starting thousands of normies down the redpill path.

Shareblue/antifa does benefit. This is a shareblue character assassination attempt, using stuff they think will get /pol/ to hate her. Lying about her being jewish is one way. Calling her a slut/racemixer is another. Calling her a coward or weakling is another. etc. etc.

It's to shareblue's benefit if every alt-light and alt-right personality gets entirely discredited so /pol/ no longer has any big voices on their side, and normies stop getting redpilled, which is why they do it.

You cunts are here to try to neutralize /pol/ and the other places you brigade before the 2018 and 2020 elections with your retarded divide and conquer tactics.

All that means is that nationalism is going mainstream, something that should be encouraged at all levels, and it also means you commie pieces of shit are losing bigger than shit.

Die in a fire.

There's a reason Russia stopped allowing adoptions into the US, and there's a reason Podesta was recently called to testify in closed session. He looked like a fucking ghost walking out of that hearing-- go back and watch the live shots.

I've seen you all connect dots for a long time here. You can connect these. You have to remember that in global politics, everyone has money. So you have to trade in a different currency to buy things at that level. And when you have no morals, you'll use any currency you need.

I'll put it to you this way: if the Russian government caught you with your pants down and someone else's kids, $145 million worth of uranium will buy a hell of a lot more silence than $145 million alone.

You misunderstand. Weekends are dead news days. Less news hours and it's partly prerecorded shit and talk shows. Information gets released on Friday night to reduce damage, not spread it. The 24 hour news cycle is Monday thru Friday.

That's why White House document dumps would come on Fridays. They'd bury shit they have to release because of some legal mandate but don't want people to notice in a bunch of other bullshit government news they've been holding back and pray news staffers don't find it until the Friday night specials start running and that the news isn't interesting enough to preempt those specials with breaking news. If you could pull that shit off, most people wouldn't hear about it until the water cooler on Monday.

>There is no evidence to suggest that the promised damaging information was related to Russian government computer hacking that led to the release of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails.

Oh look, its literally nothing but another Witch Hunt, yet again. They even admit in their article that there is NO evidence to suggest the info was related at all to Russian hacking.

And whats being said about this on other platforms? Such as CNN? Ah yes, that DTJ received hacked materials to use as blackmail.

This comes at an odd time, right after Donald Trump himself called out Podesta in his relations to the DNC email server that no one will let the FBI look at. Now, they are attempting to say that his own son is behind the information sharing of the hacks?

Funny that this article appears right after the right-wing outlets start reporting that Guccifer2.0 DNC files were direct copies off the server themselves, and locally copied.

It's literally, fake news. Please actually read the articles next time.

how the fuck can you be on a political forum and not know what tbe Friday Dump is? Maybe if you had a fucking job you'd understand. The 24 hour cycle is not the only cycle. The main cycle is the weekly cycle, because everything that happens still follows business hours. The Markets open Monday morning, and then they close again Friday Evening. The news that comes out on Monday is designed to set the conversation for the rest of the week. It is generated in response to whoever stories and arguments won during the Sunday talkshows. Throughout the week, everyone plays their cards to try and win the next round. On Friday, time is up. Whatever you play at end of the day Friday will get talked about on the Sunday talks, but you will have all weekend to strategize, and you'll have the Sunday talks to spin and observe the state of play before anything really has to happen come market open on Monday morning. Plus, with all the human interest stories that flood the weekend news, you sometimes even have a chance of burying the story. It will get talked about over the weekend, but by the time Monday gets around, it's too old to care about. But other times, the shit's too big. It cant be buried, and there's no winning position. The weekend isnt spent trying to patch holes, it's spent looking for a life raft. With this card the BUT just played, the music has stopped. The rest of the week will be the finishing of the hand. And come the Friday Dump, the whole world will see who's holding the Trump card. It will not be the New York Times

>“In my view, this is much ado about nothing. During this busy period, Robert Goldstone contacted Don Jr. in an email and suggested that people had information concerning alleged wrongdoing by Democratic Party front-runner, Hillary Clinton, in her dealings with Russia,” he told The Times in an email on Monday. “Don Jr.’s takeaway from this communication was that someone had information potentially helpful to the campaign and it was coming from someone he knew. Don Jr. had no knowledge as to what specific information, if any, would be discussed.”

>It is unclear whether Mr. Goldstone had direct knowledge of the origin of the damaging material. One person who was briefed on the emails said it appeared that he was passing along information that had been passed through several others.

>Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, and Paul J. Manafort, the campaign chairman at the time, also attended the June 2016 meeting in New York. Representatives for Mr. Kushner referred requests for comments back to an earlier statement, which said he had voluntarily disclosed the meeting to the federal government. He has deferred questions on the content of the meeting to Donald Trump Jr.

So ontop of what else I said, it seems that this meeting that was set up through DTJ was not only known by his father, and brother-in-law, but they also disclosed their meeting with the federal government (who was controlled by Obama, overseen by the FBI and James Comey).

So if we know for a fact now, that James Comey is a lying sack of shit who leaks intel to faggots in the left wing media, then why wouldn't he of leaked this "important bombshell" thats being harped about right now? Why, out of all the possible "OMG DRUMPF IS A RUSSIAN!" shit, would he leave out a possible story that the left NOW thinks is relevant?

He wouldn't. Because its a good ol' big juicy nothing burger. They're only doing this because of G20 and Trump tweeting about the DNC.

Knowingly or unknowingly lying on a form to obtain a security clearance, for one. But it also speaks to the intent to enlist the help of a foreign power to influence a US election which, among other things, is actually treasonous, and a violation of the Logan Act.

"...with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both."

Eh, I think it's more tied to the G20 and the DNC server talks. Too sudden and "big" for them to pull this out of their ass in under 6 hours.

Think about it, and read the wording they use, and the agenda they're pushing. They're trying to blame DTJ for the DNC hacks themselves. They know of a "meeting", but not what was said/done in that meeting. So they're painting a picture for the lefties, and saying that DTJ himself had something to do with the publication of the DNC hacks, and he got them in this meeting from Russia.

The DNC will never let anyone view their servers, and this is their way to cast blame onto Trump for it. The method is solid, but their execution is pure dogshit.

You can spot their lies way to easily, because they are never on the offense anymore. They defend themselves from whatever Trump is saying about them, and try to twist his words/tweets to make it seem like "OOOOH! So this is why he said those things! Because LOOK! His kid hacked the DNC!"

They're dumb as fuck, and it's way to easy to spot. If they waited like, 3 months, and stocked up on ammo, they could of released a slew of shit against Trump, and it wouldn't be as obvious. But the second these faggots smell a story, they can't help but get ahead of themselves and spew bullshit thats easily debunked.

Why would they want to bury the Russia story? All the best things they be done have been happening while the media was distracted by Muh Russia! The only people who are hurt by Muh Russia are McConnel and Ryan. By putting all this attention into Muh Russia, the media prevents the left from forming any coherent messaging against everything else Trump is doing, while simultaneously cannabalizing the few shreds of credibility they have left. For fucks sake, how many rounds of Muh Russia have we had so far? Donald Trump has handily won every single one of them. Are you really this fucking stupid?! It started with a story that Russia may have interfered with the election itself. It has now devolved to the point where The New York Fucking Times is trying to attack Donald Trump JUNIOR for agreeing to a fraudulent meeting in which the people setting up the meeting, paid for by Clinton, lied about their identities and their motives. On top of this, literally nothing came of It! After trying to exploit and blackmail members of a presidential campaign, democratic operatives walked away with so little, that they are now trying to use the fact that they did something every average American will find abhorrent as an attack on the President. Pardon me if I think you're a shill, because that's really the kindest conclusion I can come to right now.

It's all over with this email. Trump is now directly tied to this; even if he didn't coordinate he knew about the Russian effort yet continued to deny it. Posting that article doesn't hurt Trump. It's from the New York Times so of course it's anti Trump. The first paragraph sounds damning, but if you read the article there's no evidence of illegal activity. The lawyer wasn't a government official. It looks more like she's just Russian, and was acting independently. She may have said she had negative information about the Clinton campaign, but that doesn't make talking to her a crime. Getting dirt on your opponent is standard procedure in a political campaign. If they had been making plans to hack the DNC that would be different, but this was just a conversation. It's perfectly legal, and the only reason it's news is because the media is absolutely rabid to find some shred of evidence that poor Hillary was robbed. It'll be old news by next week.
>>
>>133196546
Trump would have to know before the fact actually. There isn't a conspiracy after the fact charge for this particular crime.

He could conceivably be prosecuted for misprision of felony depending on what he has done if anything to hide it though (once he is impeached and removed from office since you can't prosecute a sitting president...also he'd have to be impeached for something he did in office, not before, which means he'd have to further the misprision after he took office or else we'd have to wait until he's out of office to prosecute...although to be fair impeachments are entirely political in nature and you don't technically need facts to support an impeachment so that's largely a moot point.)

I agree. But if Trump is asked to testify under oath, and he's asked if he knew about it before or after the fact and he lies, that's a Big Deal. If he's not under oath, he'll obviously deny it (who wouldn't?), but a hard under-oath question would be "were you telling the truth when you said you didn't know?" If it comes to that, he's painted himself into a corner.

This isn't so much about Trump in a legal sense, though. It's about Don Jr in a legal sense, and that makes it about Trump in a political sense. He's now going to have to defend his son or cut the cord, and neither looks terribly good.

No, because suspecting someone is an immigrant and suspecting someone is an illegal are not the same thing. It's reasonable to suspect the person to be a nonnative. Speech is a legal indicator of national origin. the thread is dead because a buncha fags like you don't know how to bang. Argument like yours, how can anyone follow? What is there to respond to? Then you get sucked into the black hole of your own argument. It's low energy

My conspiracy theory:
The ratings on Russia are just too good but we can't keep going after Donald Trump and be an effective country. The back room was filled and the deal was hashed. the story must go on. It must go with Donald Trump and Jr stepped up. Now everyone is happy. Especially me. I love Drumpf is finished threads and didn't think Drumpf Threads are Finished Threads would be nearly as fun.

Right? The rest of the world's leaders are taking sort of "we're gonna do our thing, and if you want to join in and help, the ball's in your court" approach, because he's in so far over his head that he's dead weight. They're telling him that if he can't lead, he needs to get the fuck out of the way.

No, but it does demonstrate a higher level of intelligence and forethought. If we have 2 candidates who are shady fucks, I'd rather not get the one that's shady AND such an arrogant dumbass he wrecks the country through his arrogance and dumbassery.

This is how the NYT caught Pence in a lie about knowing nothing about Flynn's undisclosed military consulting with foreign powers.
