This is what happens when you confuse "influencing with real dirt" and "hacking". Hacking would imply some kind of trickery like altering ballots or fucking with voting machines. There is nothing illegal about opposition research or even accepting opposition research from Russia. (Pissgate anyone? If any of that was real would anybody be going to jail for it? No? Duh.) Less than nothing wrong with it. So not wrong with it that HRC would be thrown in jail tomorrow if accepting help from outside governments to win elections were flatly illegal. She literally accepted cash from Saudis, China, etc.

Even if Russia "hacked" the DNC emails (for which there is zero evidence) or Podesta's emails (of which there is less than zero evidence) the resulting information would still be as valid to the American people as if it was obtained through a warrant. Doing bad things and getting caught is not "Russia hacking" anything. That's you getting caught.

The best part about this is that by going after Jr. you are literally making the case for the information to come back in to the media cycle, come back in to the political debate and right in to the mid terms. Then guess what? Jr is cleared but we're now going to watch as every single member of the DNC gets picked apart for colluding with foreign governments.
