Can someone explain the socialist mindset to me?
I don't get why socialist think diverting funds from the economy, into social programs, is a good idea. I mean they are literally hindering economic growth, in the long run. Making their state less competitive, thereby losing wealth and the ability to fund their social programs.
I always assumed it was just short-term thinking on their part or am I missing out on something?

because if they get a job in the administering of social programs, they will have an incredibly easy, brainless job, with amazing benefits and pension and its hard to get fired from them

So it's just them beeing selfish and lazy?
>>132990862
yes
socialists are the most greedy, selfish individuals by far
the only reason someone becomes a leftist is because it is in their self interest to do so for social or monetary perks, half of them know that leftist politics dont work, the other half refuses to even contemplate the problems with leftist politics because it ruins the benefits to themselves
feels over reals!
(until the reals kill you and your family)

Socialists are r-strategists. Their genetics and programming have caused them to believe that resources are abundant and free. This leads to two core tenets of leftist thought:
a) everyone is entitled to free resources regardless of their ability or willingness to work to create them; and
b) the redistribution of said resources from those who create them to those who consume them does not have any negative effects.
r-strategists are cancer to civilization.

That explains the average leftist protester.
It's not surprising, I just thought the ideology would be at least a bit better thought out than, muh benefits.
Im an anarchist which means you're a socialist almost all of the time
I prefer doing things myself
Its called r / K selection theory. Leftists are r selected. Right wingers are K selected.
The Socialist mindset is that they will be part of the ruling class and get lmao free shit all they want while doing nothing for it. They never think they'll be the one plowing the field or standing in the bread line.

Y'all are cucked by conservative propaganda.
SOME socialist policies are good (see public roads, the military, publicly funded education). "MUH FREE MARKET" isn't going to do shit if people don't have the means or knowledge to help the market perform.

So they choose not to see the bigger picture.
The sad thing is when they eventually tear the system down, they will blame capitalism.

>"MUH FREE MARKET" isn't going to do shit if people don't have the means or knowledge to help the market perform.
But they have the means and knowledge to help the government perform?

When they tear the system down they won't exist anymore. The only antidote for r-selection is economic and social collapse.
The good news is, this problem tends to solve itself.

Privatized roads and schools?
The military aspect I do agree on.
