I feel like people can't get a grip on the reality of the situation. The habitat that these whales come from is being destroyed. Soon, the only whales left are going to be the ones being kept in captivity, so we had better get used to providing them a protective habitat. It's true that they have been exploited to produce a profit for the aquariums and theme parks that purchased or captured/rescued them. But, do you even understand how expensive it is to feed a whale and provide the aquarium and veterinary care for it? These places will likely become the Noah's Ark for these species, if they survive at all.
