If you're pumped full of a sedating drug like I was and pretty much everyone else is, they open the rooms up very early in the morning, drag you out of bed and then lock the door so the cleaners go in, you can't function. You share a ward (not a private room) with different people that all scream and will try to steal your stuff at night. A guy sliced his own throat open in front of me and a few others because he appealed his section (you can do that if you're sectioned for longer than 6 months) his appeal was denied, when he got back he went to his room, came back with plastic sharpened blade and jabbed it into his throat, blood everywhere, alarm going off, police there.

Then in the evenings you get police coming by to drop off new patients or those that have escaped. If you speak rudely or are "too demanding" they'll sedate you with valium, if you refuse to take the tablet they'll inject you in your arse.

No lies. I've got other stories of patients setting fire to plastic plants, trying to set beds alite. Just stay the fuck out of them.
