Why do we call our great battles "Meme Wars"? Why not call them "Meme Crusades"?

>Definition of crusade verbatim is lead or take part in an energetic and organized campaign concerning a social, political, or religious issue
>Definition of war verbatim is a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state.

Meme "Wars" fall more under the crusade definition, so e should start calling them Meme Crusades rather than Meme Wars.
