Well it kind of has become a real thing when Kekistan goes out and represents themselves IRL.

People used to blame 4chan for all these retarded things and it was funny because we were all trolling from behind a keyboard and never actually did anything. 4chan has been a faceless "boogyman" for quite some time.

But now you have people going out to events waving the Kekistan flag and giving "us" representation in real life. It gives their stupid argument more legitimacy.

IRL activism is fine, if you're smart about it. Covertly representing /pol/ culture and subtly memeing has its place, but being a literal face of /pol/ IRL is retarded and stupid and it's going to end up splitting up this board and probably ruining it worse than ever. Shows a huge lack of disrespect for the anonymity we fight for, and "chan culture" in general.
