Are we currently in the beginnings of new resistance?
Oakland is burning from a series of recent arsons of expensive new apartment buildings which would have displaced and forced many residents out of those neighborhoods, and raised the rents for most average people already living there.
This is a good thing no? I actually had to leave Oakland for a much more dangerous area and a longer commute to SF because of ridiculous rent prices.
