From my personal knowledge and experience here the taliban are biding their time waiting for NATO to leave so they can reclaim Afghanistan as a Taliban controlled country and reestablish a terrorist government, ISIS has had an expanding foothold here, it's not growing as quickly as they waned it too because they aren't really wanted. This is all pretty well known info though, vice did a few reports on everything I just said a few months ago
