this map is all wrong. untill 1948 Israel was under control of different empires.there was the un partition plan to make two states one for the arabs and for the jews. (even though jordan was supposed to be the arab country). the jews agreed the arabs didn't. the jews fought 7 arab armires won got all the land as seen in the 3rd pic from the left. the gaza strip was under egypt rule and the west bank under jordan's rule. still no palestine no palistinian demand for a country. in 1967 Israel though syria egypt and jordan and won.they got golan heights which is still under israeli control. the sinay peninsula which they returned to egypt in the peace agreement. and they also got the west bank and gaza strip.only in the 70s the Palestinian national movement started.
