Nationalism does not divide us. It establishes community and provides leaders with an agenda that puts the citizens interest of that country before the interest of another. Nationalists can love and appreciate other nations and cultures without compromising their own in the forms of either mass immigration or corporate sell out. Nationalists are willing to sacrifice financial gain and prosperity in order to preserve traditions unique to their culture, and if their nation places values on something more than others nations, nationalists aren't pressured to keep up in a global market that will swallow them. An example being the Mediterranean countries entering the European Union. Nationalism isn't about hate. It's about the nation state and the protection of the people within.
