Honestly, a brief examination of the history of Christianity church leads me to believe the Orthodox Church is actually the true Church.

I mean Papism has no traditional basis until hundreds of years after the solidification of the doctrinal basis of Christianity, it just doesn't make sense that over 800 years after Christ the Bishop of Rome is suddenly granted Papal Supremacy, and again hundreds of years pass before Papal Infallibility is majority accepted among the Roman Catholic Church, not being dogma even until the 19th century.

The RCC has been in a downwards spiral it seems since the Great Schism, only splintering again and again, and is now totally unrecognizable compared to the Early Church, pre-Schism. The Orthodox Church seems to have retained a very great deal of tradition from the Early Church that Catholics have grown to ignore or defy entirely. I mean if the Earliest Christians were doing things right, the Orthodox Church is the closest you can get, and the safest bet in terms of traditional significance.

I just really hate living in a country with so few Orthodox parishes, almost none of which are actually English speaking.

The reason Christ spoke in parables, and the same reason the Orthodox Church speaks of mysteries, is precisely because plebs don't understand Christ's words even when spoken plainly. I go to a Catholic retreat once per year to just take a break from society. The monks there have taken vows of silence and any of the guests also have to respect that while staying there. On Sundays during mass they invite another commune of monks to sing during the service and it really is ghostly hearing the words in Latin, centuries old. You can feel the power behind it.

Once you live a good life, love your family and community, help those in need and show faith in God then I can't see why both Catholics and Protestants wouldn't be worthy of salvation.
