Let me get this straight goyim.
The serbs, monteniggers, bosiaks and russians hate austrians. So they start fucking world war 1 because they want a single unified slavic nation in the balkans

Then several decades after this Yugoslavia is formed they start killing each other to break loose of it. Is this basically it?

The biggest problem with civic nationalism is that it depends on excellent leadership keeping the whole country together. If the that leadership goes away, the nation can easily fragment.
