Every conservative I talk to just doesn't understand the greenhouse effect.

>Hi, do you believe in global warming?
>No, there's no way that humans are making it hotter the earth already goes through natural heating and cooling cycles!
>That's true but the greenhouse effect doesn't add heat, it traps heat in the atmosphere by not allowing heat to dissipa-
>NOT MAN MADE! NOT MUH CLIMATE!

At this point they're basically throwing a tantrum like a child and impossible to reason with. What makes this happen?
>>
>>132740105
>Hi everyone, thanks for letting me talk
*debate horn*
>>
>>132740105
Because they are idiots.
Idiots didn't pay attention in Earth Science in grade school.
They then hear about some whack-job on the internet who spends all his time making poorly edited youtube videos that "PROVE" that man made climate change is false.
Since they did not pay attention to the aforementioned grade school science classes, they actually believe it.

Then of course there are the people here, who are intelligent enough to realize this, but instead choose not to for laughs or out of ideological purity.

There is no significant global warming due to human activity. Calling everyone stupid who doesn't buy into this lie is not helpful. Global Warming, Climate Change, etc. is a ruse to transfer wealth to the Third World from successful First World Nations.

You may think this is a "good thing", but it's not. If you send lots of financial aid to 3rd World dictators, they basically start wars with their neighbors and ethnic minorities in their own countries.

Pour money into Africa? Makes you feel good for those angelic Blacks? All it does is dramatically increase fertility and those niggers have to go somewhere...so they pour into Europe.

The more you help the 3rd World, the more the entire planet becomes 3rd World.
>>
>>132742089
>There is no significant global warming due to human activity.
The vast majority of scientific institutions and experts in the field of climatology disagree with you.
>>
>>132741185
wtf is "Earth Science" ? Does America literally have classes dedicated to indoctrinating children over man made climate change? In the rest of the world climate change is naturally obvious, we don't need to brainwash people into believing it. That being said, the only reason I doubt it is because there is so much brain washing going on trying to get people to believe it that I just naturally assumed it was fake and only there to push an agenda. Why else would America run classes just to teach you it's real?
>>
>>132742217

Good, then I'm sure they have a formula to prove their theory rather then speculative simulations. Can you show me proof in a mathematic form of what's taking place, can you show me an experiment that takes into factor all of our earth, and prove without a shadow of a doubt what they believe?

No, ok than shut the fuck up and get a job.
>>
>>132742408

> In the rest of the world climate change is naturally obvious, we don't need to brainwash people into believing it.

They also believe in globalism, immigration by the millions, and killing themselves to reliquish guilt. If everyone believed jumping off a bridge was healthy - would you do it?

Americans unlike most of the world actually live in a country where we can say and believe what we like. Hence the competitive nature of our country, and industry -- what was the last major breakthrough from Australia in the world of the natural sciences? What happens when you drag anchors through the barrier reef?
>>
>>132740105
You forgot to include the part where they say the greenhouse effect adds heat, idiot.

I'd leave the ad-hominem, but am interested in rather serious, mathematical experiments about the global warming effect, especially considering the greenhouse effect. The last report I read were merely stating an increase of CO2, which has already been debunked as not harmful for our atmosphere.
>>
>>132742431
>Show me proof in a mathematics form of what's taking place.
You want me to give you a mathematics formula for the entire earths climate, over time, for the last 100 years, in a 4chan post?
Are you disabled?

>I'd leave the ad-hominem, but am interested in rather serious, mathematical experiments about the global warming effect, especially considering the greenhouse effect.

As am I but it doesn't exist, and probably never will. Simulations are not fact no more than masturbation is having sex.

>The last report I read were merely stating an increase of CO2, which has already been debunked as not harmful for our atmosphere.

I agree adding more C02 will spark larger more numerous plants, that will require more C02. And especially as the population is falling off and our harvesting of wood has long peaked.
>>

>You want me to give you a mathematics formula for the entire earths climate, over time, for the last 100 years, in a 4chan post?

No just an abstract that shows through math the correlation of all the chemistry taking place, and it's effects. You know that thing in the lab called a "proof",

I know it's a lot to ask and I should just give you everything I have so you can save me from the boogeyman, but it will never happen.

>Are you disabled?

Yes, in more way that one.

>I have a job dipshit.

Color me shocked.

If greenhouse traps the heat, that means that external heat can't come either, so It's regulating itself.

Even if we're not significantly warming the atmosphere with emissions, we're giving the air in cities and everywhere downwind from them a chemical potency.

Why do people who believe climate change is unaffected by post-industrial society think it's a good enough reason to not further develop and integrate renewable sources of energy.

How is it that DDT was banned for the sake of the ecosystem yet it's culturally acceptable to have increased carcinogens in our air and an oil disaster every 6 months?
>>
>>132743507
They are self regulating moron
Once a certain temperature is reach no more heat is allowed into the system.
>>
>>132743199
Or, you could go on google and read one tens of thousands of peer reviewed papers written by climatologists. I am not going to spoon-feed you basic scientific literacy.
How about this: Atmosphere + (Metric Tons of Greenhouse Gases X 365) = Higher average global temperatures.

Do you understand the difference between speculation/simulation, and an actual proof?

Ok, that was dick of me. My father is a liberal, and he's one of the hardest working people I've ever met. And he's considerably wealthy.

You tell people their energy prices will "neccisarily skyrocket" (as Obama so eloquently stated), while you have no concrete evidence on anthropogenic climate change besides a correlation between CO2 increas and global tepmerature increase over a 100 year span (less than 1% of Earth's total age) and call anyone skeptiocal of you a "denier".

Sounds more like a cult than science.
>>
>>132740105
Are you retarded? The greenhouse effect is the reason you are alive, there is nothing "man made" about it, it adds about 20 degrees to Earth's temperature and it has done so for billions of years.

>Hurr you just have a correlation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ6Z04VJDco
>Scientists don't just see a correlation and assume causation, they look at the mechanism and what's called the 'correlation coefficient', which quantifies the chances of a correlation being mere coincidence. The correlation coefficient of the CO2-temperature link over the past 500 million years shows that the link is too strong to be a coincidence. And of course the mechanism is known and understood

If you have a plan to provide cheap electricity to 325 million people that doesn't rely primarily on coal and oil that can be implemented this very second, I'm all ears.

They don't conduct falsifiable experiments. They're literally just memeing from the data they've half ass collected in the last 50 years.
>>
>>132742408

Some propaganda going on right now goys.
>>
>>132744625
Holy fucking shit, did you even read the damn thing?
It literally talks about nothing but how they counted the papers and people that agree with man-made global warming.
>No names
>No facts
They even made a fucking graph with how many scientists and how many agree instead of a graph about actual global warming
>>
>>132745491
>CO2 temperature link over the past 500 million years

Because scientists know what the Earth's temperature was 500 million years ago and didn't just pull some numbers out of their ass to get more government funding for their doomsday cult...

Oh wait, that's exactly what they did
>http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/02/21/h-sterling-burnett-climategate-redux-noaa-scientists-fudge-lose-data/
>>
>>132745501
There isn't. With proper funding and research it will be possible in the future. If climate change is bullshit it still has a benefit, Gaining independence from fossil fuels is better than burring our heads in the sand.
>>
>>132743681
Because usually there isn't a reasonable plan to support.

I don't like having polluting power plants everywhere, but it's at least something that we know works. Trying to completely switch the power grid over to new and immature technologies is insane and I can't support it even if I'd like to see polluting methods of power generation phased out.
>>
>>132745648
Kiddo, I can tell that you aren't very smart. You say that you want the evidence, but if it was given to you, you wouldn't understand it and would simply discard it anyway. You could find what you want on Google, you know?

>>132745821
Incredulity and a Breitbart article don't count as arguments
>>
If people really cared about climate change we wouldn't be using shipping planes and boats that use literally hundreds of gallons of fuel by the hour to import things from China and India
>>
>>132742217
And people attending bible study groups tend to believe christianity is correct

They are specialists on the matter so the matter cant be bullshit
