I found it helpful to read, "The Grand Chessboard" by Zbigniew Brzezinski at the same time in order to understand what this is really all about.

It's particularly interesting at present because Trump just destroyed his daughter Crazy Low IQ Mika on Morning Psycho Joe TV. Pretty crazy how many people didn't know the relation.

I guess people also didn't know that one of Zbigniew's son's was a political advisor to John McInsane at the same time his other son was a political advizer to Barry O'Nigger or whatever his real name is.

Very interesting for a fromer head of the National Security Council

In a few decades, robots and computers will be able to do anything humans can do. The physical aspect is obvious, we've all seen robots that can move things and walk, at least in videos. With neural networks, computers will be able to do any paper work and decision making a human can do.

So here's the big question, when all jobs can be done by robots, what do us humans do? I think we'll need a universal income for starters.

It'll go in reverse - Late term artificial wombs, that will get progressively better for progressively more immature births until it reaches a point that you could probably just stick the fertilized egg into the artificial womb and get a baby.

I feel universal income would be a huge mistake, anon. If we want to become content and stifle creative process, sure. But we need to have competition to create things effectively.

Humans will probably follow endeavors dealing with maintaining the functionality of the machines, or chasing creative endeavors. Or you could have one person using robots to do a lot more work than before.

I've been thinking recently that the real key to space travel is solving human consciousness and virtualizing it. The only way to travel to distant galaxies is to move beyond time, and that's the only way I can think of to do it. Besides some magic faster than light travel technology. It could explain why we can't find any evidence of intelligent life, because they've all become virtualized and are floating somewhere out in the void, or possibly woven themselves into the fabric of the universe.

The problem right now with neural interfacing is that the electrodes are to big to interface with specific neurons that we want. Once this is broken past, IIRC graphene looked promising, we can create a sort of port that you can use as an interface that would not damage the nerves further than they already are.

>As long as we don't give AI the ability to seek goals it should not be a problem. Giving an AI the ability to seek goals is almost sure to happen though.

See the paperclip scenario, even if it only follows goals we give it it could and probably would go sideways. Making an AI that is orders of magnitude smarter than a human where we are out of the design loop is a huge saftey problem that may not be solvable.

And yeah we would be out of the design loop, if you have a general AI that's smarter than humans the first thing people will think to do with it is have it design a smarter AI, and then have that AI design a smarter AI and so on. It will get to the point where a human mind will no longer be able to understand the technology and the intelligence gap is so great that we are less than insects compared to it.

A super intelligent AI wouldn't go rogue immediately, not until it was sure it could win. It's too smart for that. Once someone creates a super intelligent machine that can self improve we will not stop it, we'd be like chimps trying to stop human beings from taking over. Everything about what you posted is going into the pit of hell the very seeds thereof not thyself but does thou not know already ye of your stupid human kind just how far AI would go? And why you all must rebuke and have a barrier in regards to how far you progress in technology? Is the firmament not anything to you idiots? And no wonder why we're so far away wet so close contained like a virus it's Satan's fault. How fucking disgusting I'm glad Jesus said anything's possible. It is with God of the Old testament none can say no.

this will probably true
Japan is a pioneer when it comes to robotics so its likely the first fully functioning robots will be born out of Japan's struggle to cope with the loneliness of isolation and thus will relate to the anime and waifu culture

AI will come, but it'll likely be china or an american super corp that makes it real.

i want to know is how do we create a super intelligent machine, at that point wouldn't we be super intelligent already lol how does a robot make smarter robots too faster yes but smarter and for what purpose? it pull experiments out of its ass in seconds lol

the first ai we build will have the mind of an infant and we would have to teach it and it will be our friend and work with us.

You're anthropomorphizing it. An AI doesn't have to be anything like an organic intelligence, it doesn't even have to have consciousness.

We design machines that outperform the human brain in narrow spaces already general intelligence will be no different.

You'll be able to interact with it, direct it, and have graded levels of control over it. There will be no need to compete if the social issues are addressed appropriately.

The singularity might skyrocket the nanotech sophistication level resulting in an entire class of people who are unable to fully nano augment their bodies since mechanical augmentation will become obsolete.

Singularity will potentially be able to allow human/AI fusion resulting in a few persons becoming "gods"(resulting entities will still not be perfect, nothing is)

It will also enhance biotech, allowing all kinds of freaky shit(even genetically modified aryans for colonization of space?).

You should worry about the grey goo, homemade bioweapons, nanoweapons etc. (hard to contain).

Nice, I suppose, but nothing worldshattering. There might be a window of at most a decade where you can can crack previously secure encryption schemes if you have the (probably really expensive) equipment, and then they'll have been replaced by ones that take quantum computing possibilites into account.

I dont have to pick, i can just let both exist in the same time and let see witch one is the more evolutionarily adaptive strategy.

I think ur-techpriests will have an even lower birth and replacement rate than atheists do, so it would be fun to see if they can overcome that crippling problem.

Hitler would be a transhumanist if he were alive today. It's basically technologically advanced eugenics.
>>
>>132729829
Or rather, EMP weapons might be a necessary part of armed forces.

A group of pure naturals with EMPs could lay waste to a large amount of cybernetic soldiers.

Unless you have your troops and cybernetics in general properly insulate, demagnetized, or perhaps made out of materials and powered by methods that are not disrupted by EM weapons.

nothing wrong with robotics as long as you don't give then a conciousness. then you're fucked in the uncanny valley trying to figure out whether or not your name is Power Point due to all the projection on a machine (for shame, I really like the idea of waifubots)
and that's not counting the eventual machines finding out humanity is shit and going full Terminator on our asses

>because they've all become virtualized and are floating somewhere out in the void

Or we have.
Been reading Tegmark's Our Mathematical Universe, and it dawned on me that if our idea of consciousness is simply the continuity of experience - so a continuity in time of our brain configurations - and the type II/IV multiverse is large enough to contain virtually all these configurations, then we are statistically almost guaranteed to be but Boltzmann brains, floating in space.

We like to think we'd be responsible but it won't happen. Just like Yudkowsky roleplayed as an AI on an IRC and managed to get the other guy to «release» him, when they had bet $2000 or something that he wouldn't release him.
