How could anyone be against government regulation in the economy? Are you really against regulation when it comes to what they put into our food? How companies would pollute the environment? To make sure that drugs are safe? It's just bizarre to me, regulation in businesses is totally necessary to ensure that aren't totally fucking the populace over.

Libertarians aren't inherently anti-regulation; misrepresenting a product is a form of fraud, and companies are liable for harms done.

To further add, government agencies have a tendency to overregulate, because there are no consequences for prohibiting something that doesn't need to be banned, but there are tremendous consequences for bureaucrats if they approve something dangerous.
