neoliberal conservativism is as dangerous as communism. For all the times communism gets mocked for "not being tried", you should consider the monument of evidence the free markets and neoliberal beliefs have lead to misery and financial collapse. Infact, there would probably have been no world war 2 or nazi party if the financial collapse hadn't triggered the national socialist movements across Europe during that era.

The point is, those ideologies are extreme views. Where one side believes that people will just be nice and help each other, when we know that's false and the other thinks market forces and competition unhindered by red tape will strike a balance when in reality it can lead to destruction of an economy, environment and people.

The whole left/right spectrum makes no sense to me. How can I support Thomas Jefferson's idea of exportation of democracy and subsequently the Iraq war, a quasi-socialist system that establishes a welfare foundation / the minimum quality of life we should expect for our people, regulation that protects people as well as industry from underhanded or dangerous business practises that can blow up badly, immigration and foreign policy that seeks mutual gain between people and a proper democratic system that doesn't seek to disenfranchise 50% - 1 because its very nature leads to a polarized two-party state.

He gave up, disappointed and broken, with his conclusion being that yes, in fact his people, on average, are inferior to whites and asians.
