Curious as to how spiritual or religiously oriented people address the problem of race from a philosophical perspective:
For those that adhere to strict materialist determinism, the problem of race is a simple one. Different races evolved under different selective pressures in different environments. Thus through natural selection they evolved different physical and intellectual capabilities and characteristics. An ugly truth, but a simple one.
For those that assume there is a spiritual component present in individual humans, and who assume an ultimate spiritual meaning and purpose to mankind's existence, the problem I think is a difficult one. For what purpose would the creator produce a low IQ race that seems to be unable to function or thrive in civilization? This seems a horrible curse for them, as well as a difficult moral dilemma for civilized peoples that want to deal with the issue in a meaningful and compassionate way. How does this problem fit in to the spiritual evolution of humanity?
Don't care, need to spread kingdom of Heaven. God made us all of one blood, is the God of Jew and Gentile.
