british museum, science museum and history museum are all worth a look. you might like the v&a also. they are all free and some of the best museums in the world.

you should also go to the tower of london, it's quite expensive, but you can see the crown jewels and all the olde soldiers doing their thing better than buckingham palace. (but a walk down the mall is a good idea)

at least spend 2-3 days in London, since you'll likely fly into it anyway. ignore the rural and sururban retards.
