Libertarians can do this because among the more conservative groups people are far more likely to listen to them and allow them to speak. Among most liberal (and further left ideologies) people in general believe that their own understanding is the only true process, thus it remains fragmented among several smaller groups. An example of this is the somewhat failed green party.
