I have a bunch of personal issues I can't work through. I want to see a shrink in order to properly work through my issues and become a better happier person, but I can't get over the fear that if I see one, it'll be noted in records and future companies (both private and government) will see that and consider me mentally unfit to work for them, worse off I'll be put on the crazie's list and prohibited from purchasing firearms.
Are these legitimate things I should worry about?

I'll reject any SSRI they suggest. I think a behavioral psychiatrist would be leagues better.
