I used to write for Wikipedia a lot, and let me tell you, the Wikipedia community is retarded. It is full of people who take whatever dichotomy they perceive and place themselves in where the perceive the middle of that dichotomy to be. Then, they masturbate intellectually about unbiased and objective they are. Their perceptions about dichotomy (in any given theme or subject, not necessarily politics) are most often wrong. Where they judge the middle to be is no less out of touch.

If you haven't yet, you should get to know the Wikipedia community - they are a microbubble, no doubt, but a bubble representative of the worst of the academic community, although they themselves are usually not real academics.

I hate CNN as much as anybody, but the tone of that article is nowhere near neutral. Wanting to edit it to be less accusatory is totally reasonable.
