Here's the thing, I used to be pretty overweight too and I think the whole "fat acceptance" movement actually could have some positive points. It doesn't help to feel completely ashamed of yourself and the focus really should be on healthy living rather than conforming to a number on a scale. I was able to get in shape because I had people encouraging me to go to the gym and friends that lived active lifestyles. Fat people like this woman are the worst though. If you're going to be fat on a plane you need to consider how that affects other people and it definitely doesn't give you the right to read someone's texts. Not to mention, you're never entitled to someone's sexual attraction. When I was fat I knew women weren't attracted to me and I accepted and understood why so I eventually decided to make a change.

i use to be fat too. ~110lb's overweight. what actually motivated me was the shame and embarrassment. what got me the most was the honey booboo episode on southpark. that really made me feel disgusted with myself because i, horrifying, could relate to it.
it was the fitizens of /fit that actually gave me good advice. told me the truth, diet, not exercise to lose the weight. they actually told me to NOT workout but instead drop the weight, then go from there and read their wiki. they also told me i can eat whatever the fuck i want, just eat less of it. which i did. i cut myself down to 800 - 1100 calories a day and in about three months i was down to 135lb's.
losing weight is as easy as gaining weight. you eat more to gain, you fucking eat less to lose. and that's whats hard. is eating less. first few days i felt hunger, but i did a play on the marines motto at the time:

a calorie is a calorie. all that matters is that you don't go over your optimal daily intake for your height and plus or minus 200 - 300 calorie depending on how active you are. it seriously takes a lot of physical excerise to lose weight. i remember reading that 40 minutes of rigiously excerise at a gym might net you a 100 to 300 calorie reduction depending on what exercise technique you're doing. in comparison you can lose 700+ calories by simply cutting out two cans of soda and a beagle each day.
