Redpill me on gun ownership. I realize it's something liberals cling onto desperately so I'm instinctively veered from it, but Hitler had some liberal leanings on economics and he turned out to produce miraculous market boostings.
So, /pol/, gun or none?
Always guns, silly faggot, always guns.

Everyone from Carl Marx to George Orwell to Thomas Jefferson believed firearms ownership was a necessary part of an active citizenry. Considering that the largest killers of citizens in the 20th century were their own governments, they probably have a point. As to owning a gun. First, check your local laws. At minimum, there is Federal law which requires an instant background check at point of purchase from a licensed firearms dealer. This is done through the FBI NICS system. A number of states have additional requirements, such as Illinois' FOID card or California's training and permit requirements. Read up on local law. If you decide to own a gun, at minimum seek out training to safely handle and shoot it. A number of states require this as a prerequisite for ownership. Most do not. One way to enjoy the hobby is to take up some sort of competitive shooting. Old military surplus arms such as this M1 Garand can be a lot of fun, though like anything else, collecting even a certain type of gun can quickly get expensive if you start chasing down every make and model built.

Liberals are for firearm ownership, anon. Individual freedom.
Call them socialists, because they aren't liberal.
I'll take gun over no gun every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
If you can't defend yourself you're a victim.
Being a victim is more of a leftist thing.
Plus Commies don't like it when you stand up to them.
Get a gun, learn safety and handling and prepare yourself just in case you need to use it.

It's a right regardless of what the government says.

lmao. no they're not. The only people liberals want to have firearms are the government.
