Checked. But this isn't our fault. Twitter can select what is on the trending list. They've done it before against the alt right and internet culture in general. We just need to keep making new hashtags and keep poking CNN until they bite the memes and make a televised news report. Then when we have the spotlight, we get creative.
Face it, you know that CNN will flub the hell out of the news report getting butthurt at all these memes being spammed out. We just have to beat the defense systems first: The Social Media.

It's not losing steam they have just turned off the trending function for that particular phrase, becoming amorphic and changing tags would be the best thing to do. We need to take this into consideration and make sure everyone knows that they have control over what everyone sees.
