I'm a fisherman myself. What we catch, we sell at lets say "8$/lb", to the dealers; the dealers sell it abroad for an additional dollar or more, which has led to a big market in mostly China. The demand increases, which drives more people to fish more. More fishing requires more regulation (seasons, licensing, quotas, etc), resulting in a cap of how much we can fish; but also, that leads to a shortage of work for the time being. Well, the problem is that Employment insurance (EI) has given people legs to stand on; and though the budget for it shows that we pay for it enough through taxes, it still results in a stagnation of work, which is a detriment to the economy (inflation/deflation-wise). But also, being that we have a big fishing economy, the moochers in the city have used this to their advantage, because they always vote in favor of more social programs that make it worse. In general, the government has forgotten about us, which makes it worse anyway. We're the most white out of the entire country; of course they focus more on the diverse parts.
