Why is calling a jewish person a jew considered anti semitism? You are literally calling them what they are. Its not anti-christian to call a christian a christian, or to call someone who practices islam a muslim - so why is naming the jew considered a cardinal sin? Is it racist to call a black person black? Or sexist to call a woman a female? I dont get it. Where does this logic even stem from? Why are followers of judaism insulted to be called jews? Its not like the term "jew" is a slur (like calling an african a nigger) - its what they call themselves with pride.
Its not a matter of context either. For example, pointing out that CNN has a jewish majority in its higher up positions. This is merely pointing out how successful these jewish persons are within the company. Why is this anti semetic? Shouldnt that be a compliment to their success and achievements?
Can someone explain this to me? I dont understand.
Bumping. Im really curious about this. I want to learn!
