It used to be so safe you could walk around without even locking your house up and even older folk had no worry of going to the story. They even do Lithuanian masses to this day at the church despite the only attendees being old people really. See this picture? Just Google street view anything not near Holy Cross, they're basically dilapidated houses and incredibly unsafe to the point that stores need bars in their windows and they still get robbed. Hell, two or three blocks away from the church six bodies were found decomposing in a house.
