Non-therapeutic circumcision of children is encouraged to reduce the chance of urinary tract infection or phimosis or penile cancer or HIV or cervical cancer in the female partners. That is stupid. Phimosis can be cured with preputioplasty. Penile cancer is rare and we do not remove breasts from female babies despite that 1/8 of females develop breast cancer (http://www.breastcancer.org/symptoms/understand_bc/statistics). HIV can be prevented by not having sex with somebody who has HIV or condoms. Cervical cancer can be prevented by removing the cervix.

Non-therapeutic circumcision of children is encourage, because partners may prefer the circumcised penis. That is also stupid. There is a better way to have more partners. Sex reassignment surgery. So if you want your son to be popular with his partners, have him undergo sex reassignment surgery.
