Because they're some of the most esteemed members of their black communities by them, so having them speak of something political related is the best way to get that message across to blacks. Liberals don't want to enrage them, so they kiss their asses. Plus, black people among all people are seriously the most inconsistent and hypocritical people there are out there when it comes to political and philosophical ideology. Having another persona while performing, on stage, or out in public view compared to another one outside of public view is a norm and considered perfectly acceptable to them. Jay-Z or whoever could just say "FUCK WHITE PEOPLE!" while on stage, then proceed to go behind a visible glass door on said stage and hold a briefing about his stocks and portfolio from some broker looking like Ben Stein and no one in the audience would feel betrayed by him doing so.
