For a missile attack to be a threat you need many mirv hypersonic reentry vehicles. Not the ability to launch a shitty rocket on a dumb ballistic trajectory for maximum range.

If korea tried to nuke us their missile would be shot down, easily. If china tried to nuke us they would be obliterated before they could fuel their missiles (they keep them unfueled and disassembled with each part controlled by a different chain of command, because they are paranoid of internal coups)

If any other nuclear power tried to nuke us we would likly stop most if not all of their missiles.

Only russia could potentially be a threat, and russa doesn't want to nuke us because they are a fairly civilized country.
