I was little, about 5 years old.

I was in some day care like thing at the local elementary school, the "teacher" and all of us kids were around a tiny TV, and she was crying. I remember thinking the explosions looked neat.

Then I got out of school early, my parents explained what was happening, and I was scared they'd bomb my house.

I'm told later me and my siblings pretended we were planes flying into buildings. Kids are assholes.

FOB little Chinese kid just moved to the UK, I was like, a few thousand white people die and everybody is tearing up, whole school of little kids have to do a minute silence and shit when on TV in-between MUH FUKING SIMPSONS they show a bunch of starving half dead niglets nobody gives a fuck about that non of us give a shit about enough to get all tear jerky and silent over.

It taught me at a young age that human life is meaningless to society, and that a false transient feeling of security and escaping from the fact that you could literally die at any moment is the sole function of society.

I think I was too young to be playing GTA.

I was about 19 I was working not too far from NYC tearing a chimney off a house. Guy I was working with his wife called him. Everyone on the construction site stopped working and sat around jobsite radios with their mouths open. Guy I was working with said martial law is coming and we went home. I sat there and watched it on tv by myself for the rest of the day.

In a cafeteria talking to some kid about the upcoming Spider-Man movie. Little faggot kept saying the movie game would actually let you go on the streets instead of just swinging from rooftop to rooftop because his father worked at Sony PlayStation or some BSand I believed him.

Then when the teachers told us, I was like, "what is the World Trade Center? Wait there are two of them?"

Then I was like the only kid that didn't get picked up for an early dismissal, which made me mad. When I got off the bus and got through the door, my mom was crying and my dad was watching the news. I remember thinking it was pretty cool, until I found out people were dying. There was something iconic about seeing the two buildings and everyone losing their shit. I always liked panic and stuff, Even as a kid I loved fire and bomb drills, or when the power went out and people start losing it. Maybe it's weird but I find it exciting.

I started following all the documentaries about it not long after, kind of like I did with the Kennedy assassination. I was obsessed about finding out as much as I could about what went on that day. Fascinated the hell out of me.

Now I don't even care.

and it did. i was a kid in the 90s and everyone told me that our future was bright. no more cold war, great economy, shitloads of jobs.
9/11 fucked my generation over, the whole world has gone to shits, the future is fucking dark...
i kinda hate the turn our timeline took after the millenium. seriously, we partied so hard in 1999 and everything since then just feels like a huge hangover...

At school. I learned of it as soon as I got back home. People were scared that if the US was vulnerable to nuclear or biological attacks we could get hurt too.

I was in primary school, 3rd lesson. We were doing literacy I think. I remember our teacher was from New Jersey or something, her phone was ringing and as soon as she picked up she looked like someone had winded her.
We had to have a supply for the rest of the lesson while she has having a mental breakdown outside our classroom.
Didn't learn about what had actually happened till I got home later in the day.
